LAPIC -  LABORATORY OF RESEARCH ON INFANCY, IMAGINARY and COMMUNICATION develops advanced studies on representations of infancy to the cultural products observed in the daily of the children, where fiction and reality interlace, and the culture and the social imaginary, during the History, originate a mythical language expressed by the media.   

LAPIC accomplishes, also, researches that aims the production of knowledge and the development of new paradigms to the study of the mediations in the process of reception, critical reading and the analysis of content of the cultural production for infancy. 

As part of its objectives, besides producing knowledge and forming researchers, LAPIC searchs the integration university-school-society through the spreading of the results of the developed research, through the organization of scientific events, publications, assessor ships and the media in general.

In the course of the years, it has accumulated and organized a data base, on the subject, to guide professors and researchers who want to assume themselves the midiatic language for the curricular development. 

LAPIC is linked to the Department of Communications and Arts of the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo - ECA/USP, the LAPIC count on the integrated and interdisciplinary participation of researchers of the USP and other institutions.
